The Charities

There wouldn't be a Charity Hack without organisations who are willing to take a chance and register to be part of the event. Over 60 organisations have applied to be hacked and after a lot of tears and soul searching these are the ones that were shortlisted for Charity Hack 3. Check out their websites and read about the amazing work they do.

Áiseanna Tacaíochta (ÁT)

At ÁT, we empower people with disabilities to live with the independence, choice and freedom they are entitled to, just like everyone else. 68% of people who use disability services in Ireland are dissatisfied with the level of control they have over their own lives: we work to change this.

FoodCloud

Within communities food businesses frequently experience food surpluses, as a consequence of the modern food system, while charities struggle to provide food for those who need it most. FoodCloud provides an opportunity for businesses and charities within communities to work together to solve the social and environmental impact associated with food waste and food poverty.

New Hope Residential Centre

*Ireland has the third highest rate of death in Europe due to drugs with 1 fatal overdose everyday. New Hope exists to provide a safe place to bring homeless men caught up in poly drug addiction, on their own journey from addiction through stabilisation, training and on to full-time education or employment and their own tenancy. We do this by providing full time care for 12 to 18 months depending on the individual needs of the resident.
